Review: Marc Jacobs Foundation

I woke one day to find a mail from sephora introducing the Marc Jacobs cosmetic line and it made me jump. I fell in love as soon as I saw that sleek packaging, though the eye shades and lip colors didn't excite me as much more and less everyone has the same thing but I did wanted to check out their pigmentation. One product that I really wanted to get my hands over was the foundation and with a wedding coming over in a few days, what would be a better excuse to get it.
So as usual I did a Google research and didn't find much reviews over the foundation as it was newly launched, therefore I had to go and check it out myself.
After using it now for almost 2 months, I felt obliged to write down my thoughts regarding the product.
My Views:
Starting with the packaging, its beautiful, very convenient and the pump dispenses just the right amount, though it is very pricey for such a small bottle.
Coming over to the foundation itself. It says that its brings clarity and radiance to the skin with it being a gel foundation. It has a very nice texture, gives light to medium coverage which is build able and in my opinion it is perfect for combination to oily skin. I have come to this conclusion very recently when because of the chilly weather my skin started to get dry and the foundation when applied showed flakiness. I tried it with applying argan oil first but it too didn't work well. It made my skin look very flat, dull and matte.
I think it would work better for me during the summers.
it is also worth noting that this foundation does not look good in photos. I wore it all the time during the wedding and i have no idea why I look so yellow in all the pictures even though the shade is a perfect match for me.
I would now have to go about looking for another foundation with a dewy finish and wait for summers to try this again.

Let me know if you have tried it and what do you think about it?

My first Marc Jacobs bag and Ebay experience

Very recently I received cash back over the purchases I've made. they accumulated to an amount that I could splurge on to something nice. SOMETHING I'VE BEEN EYEING ON!.
Oh yes! i have been longing for a good designer handbag, a bag that I can use as a daily wear as well as formally too. Now Louis Vuitton is a bit too pricey and I believe in buying original stuff. I hope you understand what I mean. Anyways with $380 in my pocket, I happily started a search for THE handbag.
i came across Michael kors ( I already own a wallet and a bag), kate spade (didn't find much reviews and usability), Tom ford (didn't like their style a lot) and Marc by Marc Jacobs. I ultimately stopped at Marc Jacobs, getting confused over classic q hillier, classic q lil ukita and classic q fran.
Classic Q hillier is an MJ classic!! but for me as in a mommy of two i needed something more spacious. hence i dropped this one.
Next came the lil ukita, i loved loved how trendy and elegant it looked but again there was space issue so i had to cut that off of my list. But im pretty sure ill get it when my kids grow out of their diapers and snacks that I have to carry along. :)

Lastly, classic q fran, this bag i think is a perfect size not too big and not too small, a perfect everyday bag.
Hence I bought this from Ebay in the color gunmetal. Since this was my first ebay shopping experience, I did alot of research but was still skeptical. But hands down my experience was awesome. I got the bag in time and at a great price. I am so happy with it. its leather is so soft and has such a luxurious feel to it.

I would so recommend this bag to anyone who is looking for something spacious and chic whether for work, daily wear, going out. It has that perfect look.

Naked Palette Review

A palette which has created a lot of hype and is very much talked about "The Urban Decay-Naked Palette" is surely one classic piece.
I am no professional when it comes to eye makeup and all that i have learned is from my lil sissy :) or thanks to you tubers and bloggers!!..but these shades are truly amazing, whether you apply them alone or mix 'em up, they look great.
I may not go in to depth of what colors it consists of and how it looks because I really want every girl out there to put it on and feel the magic.
Last but not the least the Urban Decay eye shadow primer is a genie in a bottle. Rub it off over the eye and apply the shadows. it makes color merging easier, lasting effect without any creases and keeps the shadows firmly in place.
What are yours views about the naked palette?

Something to be shared

hey guys, this is my very first blog! so i wanted to start off with something that i read in "A new breed of leadership" by Sheila Murray. I don't usually read books that tell you how to make a difference but since my husband got it, I read it!..:). So here goes what I think is extremely true;

"The longer I live
The more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude, to me, is more important
than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think or say or do.
It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
It will make or break an organization, a school, a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
We cannot change our past.We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play the string we have. And that is our attitude.
I am convinced that life is10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.
And so it is with you...................
Hope you enjoyed reading it.
Below is the link where we got this book from (its a must read)

Start of a journey....

Since a very long time I've been trying to build up a blog and every time I just fish out thinking I wouldn't be able to do it. I guess all the bloggers just scare me out. :/
Last night I had an urge to write down my feelings, interests. I just wanted to “Be Red um”
Hence here I am trying to “Be Red um” which I suppose is the most difficult thing for all of us. All our lives we portray different roles from being a daughter to sister to wife to friend forgetting in all these roles that we should all just simply be ourselves.
From the Ups and Downs of life to all other beautiful little things that make us happy and alive, I officially start my journey to this blog!!
Thumbs up!
